Palestinian Return Centre
The Palestinian Return Centre is a London-based anti-Israel propaganda centre which, according to intelligence agencies, is effectively the political wing of Hamas in the UK. As such, it is a proscribed organisation in Israel.
Founded in 1996 by Salman Abu Sitta after he resigned from the Palestinian National Council in protest against the Oslo Accords in 1993, the PRC is ideologically close to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
Three of the PRC’s trustees are fugitive Hamas activists who found refuge in Britain during the 1990s, and senior Hamas figures regularly address the organisation’s conferences. Many of its current and former directors also held positions at various Hamas- and Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated groups, such as Interpal and the Muslim Association of Britain.
