Suhaib Hasan discusses ‘Jewish conspiracy to murder Christians’
Suhaib Hasan is a prominent Islamic scholar in the UK, and formerly served as the Chief Imam at the Masjid Tawhid in Leyton. He was dismissed from this role by the Board of Trustees in 2012, after the mosque became the subject of an investigation by the Charity Commission. The Trustees noted that Suhaib Hasan and his family were responsible for giving a platform to the extremist and terror-linked preachers – including Haitham al-Haddad, Abu Qatada and Anwar al-Awlaki – whose presence at the mosque had triggered the investigation.
Hasan is also the Vice Chairman of Muslim Aid, a spokesman for the Muslim Council of Britain, and General Secretary for the Islamic Sharia Council. He has called for the establishment of a “Khilafah [Caliphate]”, and believes democracy to be a “false idol”.
